BEWARE OF BANKSTERS

We have seen gangsters, fraudsters and scam-esters operating in our country and have put in place systems to check their advances. But a new tribe has spread its wings on our horizon, should I say the financial horizon and no one had a clue that basic banking services would become colorable, say your savings bank account will be debited by your bank for one reason or the other . The authors of such policies are the sharp practitioners who are known in the West as BANKSTERS.

Lured by fat pay-packets, soft loans, juicy allowances and stock options, senior functionaries of private-banks deal with the public ruthlessly, as if they are mercenaries otherwise it is hardly conceivable that the bankers who we have always taken as noble professionals would meet out

such a treatment to their fellow breathers.


Where private banks demand a balance of Rs.10000 for opening a SB account SBI will offer the same for Rs.1000 that too with a bigger network of branches.


Govt. of India has been advising private banks to deal with the public sensibly but so fearless have they become that they deem it fitter to pay fines but follow their modes operandi.


It has been really very unfortunate that our representatives in state assemblies and parliament have not taken any note of such a highhandedness of these banks. At least public should be made aware of the difference of approach among the banking sector

Induction

I..er ....me...the gritest felsofer on the globe holding biographies of Plato, Einstein and honorable Bin Laden to my bosom...of the name Easton West or was it Weston East...have no grudge against my parents but the name they have given me hangs heavy on my ghastly memory...still I try to walk straight no matter how often I have to shoot to my psychiaterrorist...quite a passionless chappie...has funny names for my annoying troubles which developed when I had taken a shot at trigonometry during my school days...

that leads us to my youth...ah! blind youth...fathomless energy...knowing no outlet... I set up a vegetable biz under the flagship Onion Yard, mind you the trademark files are biting dust with the patent attorneys for the beastly fellers are reeking with greed...I miss the sissy Tomato Ward which couldn't be launched either......
Of now I teach rather preach love peace ho! liberty...er... where was I...I mean life, career, yoga, scrap, adultery....every thing...for steady stream of honorarium I run a secondhand bookstall in the corner of my garage...
Long and short of my felsofy is that I have borrowed my cut from Aristo Onnasis, who has said : qualification nil, work any equally impressionable is Oscar Wilde for his brainy words :
my choice is very simple, I want the best....I want the best..my blogging or my bleed is in full swing though this jamming busybody which you love to call SpelCheck keep pulling my leg all the time...yet the blogger fellows would behave like misers I had no idea... they shut their door on my face for space corking me to see the other way...er .. technno part is burdensome and the fine print of shortcuts makes sense under a magnifying glass only...er...I was telling you of my bookstall..visit some day... you would like to read the juicy covers...Wind Instruments...After Corned Beef and Cabbage...and Mosquito Bites..

Sweet Parenting

There has been a lot of talk on good parenting still the young parents are bogged down with the responsibility. We are living in wonderful times in as much as every issue pertaining to our life has been fine tuned in to formulated subjects with laid down principles. As such the subject of good parenting has seen a shipload of guide books, a number of institutes and counselors for educating parents.

Even if the parents are armed with the quality knowledge , the little ones who are beaming with energy give quite a straining time to their endurance.The application of the knowledge becomes unbearable amongst the chaotic situations
created by the little ones. The parents get confused, the inability to manage induce guilt and their relationship with the child goes wrong.

For such situations I have an insightful experience. From my early days I had a knack for reading the cartoon strip Dennis the Menace. What did I see ..Dennis a very precocious, lovable kid with a penchant for mischief. What so ever he does leads to trouble despite his innocence. He is very curious but a great nuisance to his parents' neighbor. His mischief has no end. He keeps frogs in his pockets, takes shots with his catapult, loves TV, ketchup, mudpuddles, remains untidy playing with his friends with snow and his dog and hates carrots and regular meals. His father an office goer turns a blind eye to his monkey business as Dennis's mom is in full command to manage him. His father of course loves to take him on outdoors. Dennis's grandpa, a casual visitor spoils him to the hilt. His moms steely nerves gives in sometimes but never does she hurt the devil, rather she applies her mind to a given situation and orders him to sit for time out. Denis serves his punishment sitting on a chair with his teddy bear.

Having watched the strip for a long time, I came to know about the little master's world, his likes and dislikes, his relations, friends, foes even his baby sitter, his doctor and the school teacher. None is spared by Dennis. His mom is averse to picking up the telephone as it rings usually whenever someone has to make a complaint against Dennis.

I enjoyed the strip for a fairly long time. When I myself became a parent the actions of little Dennis started replaying. I was amused to see how all the little ones are alike and so are the parents but I was the parent having the prior intimation what was going to happen. More so didn't we all do the same things which annoy us when done by our children. It was a great relief that when compared to Dennis my kids' misdoings were trifling .

My advice to young parents is that they should always keep in their mind the tips on good parenting so as to remind them and create make-believe world, they may try the cartoon strip I have mentioned above. For making the experience enjoyable a trip to the Wikipedia will be in order.
I must say it was an enjoyable parenting of mine though there was no mention of
the specialised knowledge in those days.

Today I am going to discuss a book with my readers titled Think and Grow Rich, written by Napoleoan Hill in 1937 sold 70 million copies and till date is considered the mother of all motivational books. The title of the book suggests it to be merely a money book but I say it is a life or death book. It was said at that time that every American home should keep a copy of this a book along with the Bible. Hill came up with new rather explosive information narrated in quite a new style on life,business and success.
The book is based on the Law of Attraction (Ask,believe and Receive) as well as Hill's own findings which he gathered from the careers of successful men of the time. Realising the human tendency which is scary of the unseen future, Hill moves with a structured way and goes on defreezing mental blocks of the reader and lets him know that resources, experience, and qualification has nothing to do with success. He says further that the cheapest commodity in the world is expertise. All one need is a winning idea, a possible goal within reach which can be achieved with the help of what Hill describes as Auto Suggestion. Successful businessmen with little qualifications (example Bill Gates, a college drop out) employs the so called experts MBAs,CAs and engineers by dozens.
Age is no bar for success but this book can prove to be a boon for families having teenagers. You will never be the same person after reading this book. And a teenager who read this book won't waste his years on exorbitant and futile education. Because he is inspired to be leader of his own life and you know the whole progress that we see today has come through those great men who decided they will not serve anybody else but themselves.
